Reverend and dear Fr. Anthony and loved ones of Presvytera Sofronia,
It is with a deep sense of sadness that I received word of the passing of your beloved wife, Presvytera Sofronia. I offer to you, and your family, my deepest condolences.
In God, we receive every good and perfect gift - light and life, wisdom and reason, joy and glory, and perfect peace. Upon us, also, the Holy Spirit bestows the honor of being laborers with Him in the work of the Church. As a Presvytera, Sofronia strove to offer the first fruits of her time, talents and resources to the Church. It is an action that demonstrated her priorities as a Greek Orthodox Christian and a vital member of a Christ centered family. With my heartfelt appreciation for this devoted service to the Church, I pray that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whose victory over death gave Presvytera's life purpose and meaning, rewards her with life everlasting and eternal peace.
Please know that my thoughts will be with you during this most difficult time. I pray that you may find consolation in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father, Who through the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, ever bestows upon us the blessing of His presence and love. May the Lord grant life to you and your family, and eternal memory to His beloved servant Sofronia.
With heartfelt sympathy and love in Christ,
+DEMETRIOS
