Anna passed away on July 31, 2008. She was born with the genetic disorder Geleophysic Dysplasia, Anna lived her life with a giant and couragous spirit. She had an amazing sense of humor and kept everyone - including her dad, mom, and brother Peter - on their toes. Anna had an impact on everyone she came in contact with, and had a great desire to make sure other kids with special needs were taken care of. Anna was known and loved by many, and inspired the establishment of the Anna’s Celebration of Life Foundation. Her spirit and her smile will be missed by all who knew her, as we continue on with her efforts of helping to ensure that area children with special needs are afforded the joy of celebrating their “specialness."

Obituary from Indianapolis Star on 2 Aug 2008
Anna Helen Molloy 12, of Indianapolis, went to be with her Lord on July 31st. Anna was born on September 28, 1995 to Pete and Julie Molloy. She adored and was adored by her older brother Peter, 14 years old. She attended Mary Bryan elementary where she was known as Zoom Zoom and won the 2003 Principal's Award. This past school year she was in the fifth grade class at St. Jude, where she loved being surrounded by all of her friends. Anna always lived life to the fullest. She accomplished many things in her short but fulfilled life. Anna loved playing softball with the Franklin Township Challenge League, enjoyed music, crafts, hanging with her friends, being with family, and shopping. She is most well known for her compassion for others. One significant demonstration of her compassion was when she came along side Lucious Newsom at the Lord's PantryAnna's House in Stringtown. Her compassion did not stop there; she also had a heart for helping other special needs children.
She and her family started Anna's Celebration of Life, a nonprofit organization helping children with special needs celebrate life as they build self-esteem and gain freedom by providing life enhancing equipment and devices.
Anna is survived by her loving parents, Pete and Julie Molloy and her older brother, Peter; grandmother, Fran Molloy of Clarendon Hills, Fox Lake, Illinois; grandfather, Richard Johnson of Ninevah, Indiana; eight aunts; six uncles; 19 cousins; and friends too numerous to count. She joins in heaven her grandfather, Pete and great grandmother, Helen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anna's Celebration of Life Foundation, P.O. Box 17730, Indianapolis, IN. 46227 or Anna's House - The Lord's Pantry. |

Anna,
Hi darling. Just wanted to say hello and tell you how much I miss you. I cannot believe it's been two years sine you've been gone. I finished my first year of college and did you proud, just like your Daddy told me you wanted me to do. Your guideance from heaven has made me a better person. Thank you for helping me feel strong during my points of weakness and holding on to that special place in my heart that will always be yours. Check in again soon, I love you Anna.

My dearest Anna, I think about you often. I sit and look at your pictures. Seeing how happy you were and what an inspiration you were and still are to so many. I wish that I had half of what you were made of. I love you and miss you. My heart aches. We will see each other again one day and I will not miss the opportunity be by your side. Hind sight is 20/20. If I could just redo and undo things.

Anna, we had our first softball game today. The Aces had lots of fun. Whitney, Bette, Amy, Mike, and I were very busy with everybody. As I'm sure you were watching, it was raining the whooole time. And all of the players enthusiasm reminded me of your love of life. We've almost got the Anna Molloy Memorial Scholarship figured out. and The Anna Molloy Courage Award will be presented again this year. your initials and number, 1, are on all the shirts.

Anna, I thought about you all day today. It's been so sunny and bright today and you would have loved to have been outside playing. I planted pots of flowers last weekend and remembered how much you loved planting flowers. I put out lots of hummingbird feeders and watch and wait for them to come. I think of you each time I see one. I love you and miss you and you bright smile.
