Betty brought so much joy to so many people. The mental problems she suffered from like the severe depression were not her fault. It is terrible not to feel loved. She did the best she could and it would be nice if her girls could finally see this. She loved them with a mothers love. I too suffer from severe depression. There is more understanding and treatments now than when Betty was ill. I'm very fortunate. I know how it feels to feel all alone, and scared. Family caring can really help. I ho...

Betty Hutton was so cute with a very pretty voice. Sorry to hear her daughters didn't even go to her funeral. They will be sorry one day and can never get back their mom to forgive her. My mother & father died in 2009 6 days apart, and I would give anything to spend another day with them, even though I spent every other day with them while they were here. If you don't forgive, Jesus will not forgive you.

So much fun watching B. Hutton in Annie Get Your Gun. I'm sad Betty and her daughters had difficulties getting along. I just saw Annie GYG this a.m. (7-3-11) but have seen it before. The movie: so happy versus the 'real world'.

Carolyn...When I was 18, I was your babysitter in Bel Air during the time your mother and father was going thru the divorce and bankruptcy. It was a difficult time for your mother, father and you. I tried to be there for you and keep you away from any unplesantness. Though I was older than you, I was in a similar situation. It is much more difficult being a child of celebrities than people realize. I want you to know that I was so impressed with your intelligence, sweetness and goodness. You we...

BETTY WAS A LADY AND SHOULD OF BEEN TREATED AS SUCH. SHE GAVE MORE LOVE THEN SHE RECEIVED WHICH IS PROVEN BY HER FILM AND MUSIC CAREER. MAYBE SHE SHOULD OF TAKEN MORE TIME FOR HERSELF AND WE ALL WOULD OF UNERSTOOD BUT BETTY NEVER DID. SHE MAY OF BEEN SMALL IN BODY BUT SO BIG IN SHARING HER TALENTS WITH THE WORLD. WE ARE NEVER ALLOWED TO JUDGE HER KIDS AND BETTY WOULD OF FOUGHT EACH OF US IF WE BAD MOUTHED ONE OF THEM. YES, BETTY WAS A LADY, A MOTHER, A CHRISTAN AND MOST OF ALL A FORGIVING PERSON...

On the 2000 interview w/AMC Betty said her children weren't interested in renewing or repairing the relationships. Everyone deserves forgivness; but what about the three daughter's that she just abandoned b/c she 'didn't know who' she was. I loved her talent, voice, dancing & enthusiasm. She was a better comic than Lucy; but it's clear she was either bipolar or always searching for the 'father' she never had. Too bad her Christianity didn't allow her to acknowlege to her children how sorry she w...

I just watched the Betty's interview on TCM yesterday. I think I've been a Betty Hutton fan since I was a little girl in the 1950's when I saw the Perils of Pauline. She had so much energy and life and there was no one like her! Her interview was so sad and I know she must have suffered from the choices she made in her life. I hope she reconnected with her girls and grandchildren before she died. No one deserves to be alone in death. My heart aches with the pain she must have suffered. My...
