This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved Clara (Dolly) Krawczyk who was born in Oshkosh, Wi on 30th April 1925 and passed away on 11th December 2008, 83 years of age.

The following was written by David Vaugn the Grandson of Dolly for the memorial servce that was held at Calvary Church in Naperville, IL on Saturday 12-20-08

For those of you who knew my grandmother your entire life, or those who knew her for only a short time, we are all here for the same reason. I want to thank you for coming here to join us today in the remembrance of my grandmother. From my times with her I remember a loving person. A nurturer you could say. She would always be there, ready to help me fight off any sickness or personal problem. She was a fighter for her own self as well. She is the most stubborn person that I have ever known, but it always kept her going because she was also the most confident. Being as stubborn as she was, she never doubted her own decisions, even when my family and I did. That was one thing I learned from her. Having confidence in your own self, even in the face of death, following through with what your heart has been telling you all along from the start.

Never back down, never give up

For you never know the coming of the end

It may seem that the doors of life will begin to shut

But when they do, a new and fulfilling life begins.

When you live your life with no purpose

You begin to lose sight of everything

My grandmother never lost her vision and purpose

Which is why, she would always sing.

For music is the way of life

Bringing joy to her and everyone

In her last moments I know that she saw the light

Because her song is far from being unsung

Thank you all for being here in this time of strife

For my own family and many of you

Thank you for honoring her life

And we hope to see you all again soon.
