Corey shared his love for the Washington Redskins with his Dad. When he was just a little boy, his Dad used to tease him by saying "If you want to live in this house, you've got to be a Redskin fan! Corey knew that his Dad was teasing, yet he chose to follow the team that his father cheered for since he himself was a little boy.
While living in Pennsylvania, Corey had the opportunity to see the Redskins play several times in Philadelphia, Pa against the Eagles and his Dad and I took him one year to RFK Stadium. Before that game, we were able to go close to the field to watch the players during warm-up and got many great pictures of the players. Our seats were right across from their band!
We moved to Florida on December 2, 1993 and the following year, Corey's Dad and I took him to see them play in Tampa against the Buccaneers. The Redskin games aren't televised often in Florida, so most Sundays, Corey and his Dad could be found at Gator's in Deland, watching their team and munching on Nachos and Hot Wings!
