Cold Mornings

on a cold morning
a few months ago
to his friends
he had to go

he walked 36 miles
With his paintball gun
without any warning
his life was done

he kept on telling us
It wasn't that far
while walking home
he was hit by a car

The next morning
Two police cars was in our yard
telling us the boy
who was killed was ours.

The news paper said
he was lying on the road
but they figured out
it was a lie that she told

now hes in the ground
by his best friend
it so happends
it was his kin
