CELEBRATION OF LIFE MEMORIAL SERVICE
At the rising of the sun and its setting...we will remember you.
At the blowing of the wind and the chill of the winter...we will remember you.
At the opening of the buds and the rebirth of the Spring...we will remember you.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of the summer...we will remember you.
At the rustling of the leaves and the beauty of Autumn...we will remember you.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends...we will remember you.
For as long as we live, because you were a part of us...we will remember you.

Obviously lots of fond memories. We're lucky to have had what we had, and that those memories just make this time that much more special. Stu

Lisa, As I read your latest entries, I was stuck by how much you sound like me. My husband, Don, was my 'everything' and having to go on without him seems impossible, but I must. It seems that you feel the same way about your Fred. We each must find the way to do the impossible. The way I endure is best expressed through Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Thank you, again, for giving many of us a venue to put our experiences, feelings, and thought...» read more

What a wonderful tribute. I was heppy to learn about this gentleman and what a terrific life and family he had. Death is extraordinarly difficult, but if we remember, he is never truely gone.

Lisa I feel as I know you as a personal friend even though we have never met. I certainly enjoy all your writings quotes and answers for people on the listserv. You are a remarkable person very talented and have a wonderful understanding of life. Many times I think about things you said. I am so glad I got to be a part of your book and look forward to someday meeting you I hop,

Your web site is wonderful. I lost my husband Ray May 19th 2010 of pancreatic cancer. I loved him so much and life will never be the same. He was my soul mate and part of me died when he did. I am thankful for the 36 years we had together and the memories, our two children and one granddaughter. I will always wish he was here with me in person, but he will live in my heart until we meet again.

Dear Lisa: Though this may seem strange to a few, I feel as though I would like to express my condolences. I wish you and Fred had all your wishes but it seems to me l you had many wonderful times and shared a remarkable life with each other. Living life is a gift you both enjoyed and enjoyed it together. God bless you and Fred. I feel as though he is still there with you and in you.

Lisa - Though I never knew Fred, I can see the deep love you shared. It comes through in your book project that you have dedicated to his memory and to other families who have traveled a similar journey. I know the final book will be exactly what people need when they need it most. I wish you many copies printed, sold, downloaded and so on! This is a wonderful accomplishment and your friends share in the celebration of the book you have written and the person who inspired it.

I find it hard to believe that Fred would have been 62 today. He would know his 2 granddaughters and his son-in-law. Life would certainly be different. I look back on 33 wonderful years, sometimes challenging for both of us. We grew up together. We were a team and yet we were strong individuals as well. We made important decisions together about our lives and family. We raised 2 beautiful children who are now responsible adults. Life is so different than I would have expected it to be. ...   » read more ...

A tradition that Fred and I started in 1975 in Syracuse. It is our Winter celebration, without the religious under and over tones. I decorated a winter solstice tree tonight that Ryan picked out and purchased. After the New Year, it will either be planted or stay outside until the ground is soft enough to plant. We have been planting trees since we were in our first home in 1982 in Centereach, New York. Our decorations are from places we have been or things that the children made. They are...   » read more ...

Hard to believe that it would have been 35 years that we would have been married. Equally hard to believe that we made a wonderful 25th wedding anniversary party. Reciting the vows were wonderful and it was a great party. Everyone could see how much in love we still were. So tonight, I am going back to the Westbury Manor to celebrate our incredible marriage. So much has changed in my life, but our marriage lives in my heart forever. You were my soulmate, my best friend, my lover, my husban...   » read more ...

Yo Lisa, Fortunately, we've both had great marriages to look back on. This has given us both strength to carry on and seek more of the same. Since happiness is personal, I know we will strive to keep as much of it in our lives as we can. P.S. Congratulations on the new job - knock their socks off! Stu xoxoxoxo
