I recently learned of the death of someone who was and still is someone important to me. Although our lives no longer touched directly I am impacted by his death. The memories are flooding at this time and his unexpected death has broken the heart of our daughters. Though Gary and I had been divorced for fifteen years and he had remarried,we had known each other for many years. We where married in 1978 and divorced in 1993. As my first love I still carried a piece of him in my heart. I truely wish he could have met his grandchildren on a more regular basis. He would of been proud. He was a good man, and a father to the girls the best he could.
