Hello to friends and family of Joan Martyn,
Came across this beautiful tribute to Joan Martyn; recalling my days on the farm visiting my parents and grandparents reminds me of Nathan's posting. Best Wishes to Nathan and Joan's family and relatives, and since I'm writing this on December 22, 2007, I wish you all a Blessed and Merry Christmas.

Dad and I visited your old home in Marysville a few weeks ago. Sadly the wonderful garden you created has been removed. It always brings back so many memories of visiting as a young boy. It's a special place to me and will always remain that way. Miss ya nan.

Everytime i go past your house i think of you, the endless cups of tea. The beautiful garden that was your pride and joy, the chooks you used to talk to,and that cookatoo (Morgan) he used to have conversations with you, I'm sure he was part human.
But most of all i remember the laughter. Your house was like a second home to me and you like a second mum. I will always remember

No one could have wished for a better Mother. Thank you Mum for a stable background, a happy childhood filled with wonderful memories, but most importantly your unconditional love and devotion throughout the years. I miss you Mum more than words can say....you were one in a million
