The journey Joaquina here was on a road, hard traveled for her. Yet, she moved forward with grand thoughts of the many adventures she would have and with strong desire and willingness to improve her future and that of her children.

As a mother, she aspired to have her children be strong, never give up and be better.
As a grandmother, she provided uncoditional love.

Here is a person that simply tried to do the best she could, with what she had and always moving forward.

Thank you for never giving up.

I just wanted to leave my condolences and a comforting scripture. John 5:28 reads- 'Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." This speaks of a resurrection of our dead loved ones. I know you don't know me but you and the family will be in my prayers.

Regardless of the language barrier, I love you very much. I remember every time I saw you you'd put your arms around me give me a big hug and say "I love you". I'll always remember how happy that made me.

To me you will always be "Rose" whom my husband and I had the privilege of being neighbors of for almost 30 years. I will always look on you as an example of God's Peace in action. To look over at your patio and see you pruning your exquisite roses or loving one of your grandchildren was a joy to my heart.
