In Memory Of Jody (Toaster) Alan Emerson

Jody

All he wanted was to be.

He tried real hard to comfort company.

He knew where he was, he knew how to go

When others would hurry, he'd go slow.

He knew when to talk. He knew when to listen.

But, he would win back what he was missin'.

Others would talk, laugh and have their fun.

But Jody was smart, he'd never run

He knew how people were. Two faces and false.

They thought he was dumb, they thought he was lost.

He always knew what others were thinking

Because he listened and stared without blinking

But let me tell you the way of his soul.

It wanted reality, it wanted to know

To know why. To know what went wrong.

Between him and his dad, his whole life long.

Jody would pour out his heart with love

And the only true listener was GOD above

And so the world turned and finally, at last

What Jody was missin' became the past

And his love shined through the dark

He was heard like a singing lark

One day, years ago, when Jody lay still

With his dad's true faith and our good God's will

Jody was back with the living, to fulfill his plan

That six year old boy, became a grown man.

Now, with Jody's love and his great faith

He and his family, have found grace

Jody touched hearts wherever he went

Everything about him was Heaven sent

As I write to you, this matter of truth

He looks down at us, with a smile of youth

JODY knows he will never be forgotten

And faster and further his love will be trotten

Jody, I speak for us all, we love you dearly and always have

Never again, Jody, will you have to be sad

We all know you're smiling, we know you are safe

We know your are in Heaven, with God's grace

Oh and by the way, Spreading God's Word

You done a great job
