Obituary
Julia Mann was born to a loving father and mother, Charlie Sr. and Mary McCoy Williams, on January 8, 1911 in Gordon Chapel, FL. Both parents have preceded her in death.
In the sight of our Lord, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Nathaniel Mann Sr., who preceded her in death.
Nathaniel and Julia were blessed with 8 children: Evelyn Henderson ,Anne Bynes, and Nathaniel Mann Jr. who preceded her in death; Edith Hawkins, Lucille Thomas, Mary Mack, and Curtis Mann (Lucille) all of Hawthorne, Florida; Charlie Floyd Mann (Ruby) of Citra, Florida. 1 daughter-in-law: Louise Mann of Citra, Florida.
She raised 3 grandchildren: Christine Livingston, who preceded her in death, Betty Franklin, and Alvin Hamilton; and 1 great grandchild, Debra Young.
Julia Mann lived a long and prosperous life as the Lord continues to show her seed favor. She was fruitful and witnessed her seed multiply into 6 generations of love: 49 grandchildren, 123 great grandchildren, 121 great great grandchildren and 7 great great great grandchildren. What a mighty God we serve!
Julia and her siblings were a close knit family and were taught at an early age that, "God has the answer to all of life's questions." 9 of her sisters and 2 of her brothers preceded her in death. Still carrying the Williams' torch and family legacy are: Mae Etta Gordon , Mary Erma Strickland (Joseph), and Joseph Williams (Lillie), all of Hawthorne, Florida; 2 Brothers-in-Law Curtis Mann (Rossie) of Jacksonville, Florida and Ed Gordon of Hawthorne, Florida. She has many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she expressed her deepest love.
Sister Julia Mann accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized. She attended the same church all her life. She was a very faithful member of Gordon Chapel Community Church. She loved going to church and she always included Sunday School as part of her "day at church" and if there was a night service, she would try to make that too! She loved praying and singing.
Julia Mann worked the farms in her early years. She also provided services in family homes, then later in life became a Foster Grandparent at the Hawthorne Day Care Center.
She was a mentor and positive role model both within and outside of the community. She was affectionately known as: Mama, Mo Mo, Gran, Grandma, Grandma Julia, Mama Julia, Aunt Julia, Cousin Julia, Miss Julia and the "candy lady".
We will all miss her hugs, her loving kisses, her talks, and her stories about her life while she was on this side.
Take your rest, all is well!
