Thank you for visiting my little Peanuts page. I am Kaidens Grandma and i created this page as a memorial of his very short life with us and this even helps one person or saves another infants life then it has served it purpose.

Kaiden was first Grandbaby, born on June 24, 2011. He was so perfect, a beautiful little boy weighing 6lbs 11oz, My son was soo proud and so excited. That all changed for our family on August 11, 2011. An unthinkable accident, Kaiden was strapped into his carseat, sitting on the porch.

The family dog's leash had got caught up with his seat and dragged his seat about 30 feet, bouncing him along at the same time. He seemed to not have any injuries, but a visit to the hospital was still called for. The hospital released him saying just to keep an eye on him, even after he had thrown-up quite a bit. All that night as Kaiden slept he was having seizures, blood had began to pool at the back of his little brain.

The next morning he was seizing, my son and his fiance took him back and he was immediately taken to Riley childrens hospital in Indianapolis. The hospital there was great and we are very grateful for all they tried to do for him. He was on a vent tube for breathing and 4 anti-seizure meds, which still did not get it under control. My little Peanuts brain had more than 3/4 of it damaged and he would not be able to live a normal life...no purposeful movements and never be able to know who we are.

This can't be...RIGHT??? he has to come back from this, the brain can heal, all questions possible were asked and all comes down to, he will be a vegetable. We cried for a long time and was in shock. On August 22, 2011, My son and his fiance had made the toughest decision they will ever have to make...to take him off his vent tube to see how much he will be able to breath and not put a DNR on him.

On August 24, 2011 at 3:00 pm, the doctors came in and took his vent tube out. Everyone got a chance to come into the room and hold him as he took little short breaths, it was a precious moment and very sad. Kaiden Alexander Letioa left this world at 8:05pm on August 24, 2011 while lying on his belly on his daddy's chest. We miss you soo much Peanut, we think of you each and everyday. I wish we had more time to spend with you baby. Your Mommy and Daddy are soo sad to not have you in their arms, but you keep them in yours...Ok?

Dear Famiy, I am so sorry for your loss of your beautiful child, and grandchild. I lost a twin grandson 14 years ago and after reading your tribute it brought back some old and not so pleasant memories of my grandson. It has been 14 years and i am not the person I was 14 years ago. This is so tragic and a terrible injustice. My son and daughter law had to make the same choice with my grandson and it was one the hardest decisions they had to ever make. Your little angel is in heaven now and so...» read more

Some days may be harder than others. But please know that God is so close to his grieving servants as if he resided with the "crushed and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly ones and to revive the hear of the ones being crushed." (Isaiah 57:15)So in those moments of still, silence, and grief as the rest of the world moves at its typical pace, know that God will support you because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. He is just a prayer away. Take Care

I know these days come and go and with each passing day it should get easier to cope, just some days catch you off guard. I wish so much that i could hold you one more time and kiss you and tell you I love you Peanut. Grandma will back to check on you...know i love you baby and your forever in my heart.
