To My Coal Mining Husband
Often when under the mountains you go To make us a living by mining coal To God above a prayer I pray That He keep you safe throughout the day.
That He'll bring you home to your family you love That we may strive together for that home above With strength and health for your body He'll supply And when you need Him most, He'll hear your cry.
When morning comes and off to work you go My loneliness for you I try not to show Patiently through the day I wait And trust you with God by His marvelous faith.
Many dangers could come throughout the day That from your family you'd be taken away But on bended knees I often say God keep him safe through another day.
And when to that beautiful home we go With friends and relatives whom we love so You'll never know the joy there is in my heart At the thought of being together and never apart.
With an honest heart I thank God above For you, a husband he gave me to love Yet many things in life we don't understand But by the love He has given us we walk hand in hand.

Dad and Mom, I sure do miss you both. I never look at the beautiful flowers, that God has allowed, without thinking of the care and attention to detail, that you (Dad) tended to one of God's most precious gifts. Love you and miss you. Your son, Timmy

I just remember ralph and vivian from church and the reunion. But we offered many nights to help them carry out their instruments and they most of the time wouldnt let us help them. One night after church i told vivian that she reminded me of mrs clause and they both laugh so hard they didnt know what to think of me.

I will always remember Bro. Ralph sittint up there playing his guitar and steel in church. He was always happy and full of cheer. He has given my family and I a lot of apples too. I still have apple butter in here made with his wolf river apples. My family loves it! My prayers go out to the family...I know how it feels to lose a parent. My mom was Dora Lee Loudermilk and she passed away almost 9 years ago. She is the one that made your mom and dad's 50th wedding cake. Fond memories will alwa... » read more

My apple trees are a mess.I think of uncle Ralph every year when I try to trim them (Ijust make them worse I think)and wish he could come out here and show me which limbs to cut the way he did when Steve and I were boys and helped him prune his trees.

My Prayers are with the whole family. Ive only known Ralph and Vivian for 5 years and I enjoyed watching and hearing them play guitar and sing at church! Ralph was a wonderful man. He was definately someone to look up to for guidance and we strive to live the life of them both!! I know without a shadow of doubt that Ralph is rejoicing in heaven! My thoughts and prayers are with Vivian as well as the rest of the family! Im sure he will be trult missed but the memories of him WILL live on! God Bless you all in your time of sorrow!!
