TRIBUTE FROM YOUR CHILDREN WASHINGTON POST - OBITUARY

To My Husband

There is nothing, I can do to bring you back, all I know is

God's will has been done.

I thank our Lord and Savior for the 58 years we shared.

I thank you for the good times, sad times, and disagreements we had.

I thank you for our children, for when I look at each of them; I can always see something about you there.

I thank you for the strength you instilled into your sons and for demonstrating to them what it's like to be a man of character, integrity and stamina.

I thank you for the teachings you gave to your daughters, to be women of virtue setting their standards high and never settling for anything less.

I thank you for the time you shared with our grandchildren, the conversations I'm sure will never be forgotten.

I thank God for allowing us to see our 3rd generation.

I thank you for the spiritual leadership and example you displayed of how a man of God should behave.

I thank you for being a husband, father, mentor, friend, provider, protector, and someone who cared.

I thank you for the generous heart you had, always giving to others who was less fortunate than us.

I thank you most of all for our commitment to each other, our marriage, children, grand and great-grandchildren; teaching them the importance of family, togetherness, a spiritual walk and love for man kind.

I will miss you dearly and I will always love you.

TOGETHER FOREVER

in Christ Jesus

“Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.”—Matthew 6:9, 10. In that prayer we are asking for God to fulfill his promises regarding his righteous rulership. And we know that God cannot lie. Paul spoke of “the everlasting life which God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting.” (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:17, 18) And what has God promised? The apostle Peter answers: “There are new heavens and a ... » read more

Hi Daddy, It was an emotional day on yesterday (Easter). It was the first Easter without you. We all went to the cemetary to put flowers on your grave site, except for Mom. She said she would go on Father's Day. She really misses you alot, but she is and will always continue to pray to God for strength. She is such a strong woman. She led the family into prayer at the dinner table on yesterday. We really miss you not being there, because that was what you always did. Old man Georgie a... » read more

Dearest Daddy, I miss you so much, but I know you are basking in the arms of the Lord. I'm happy for you and I'm very sad too. Some days for me are better than others. I cry sometimes, because I know healing will come through my tears. I don't have you here anymore to talk to about the many situations I'm going through on my job, but I can hear your voice telling me to press on and God knows what I'm going through and in his time, everything will be put in order. Thank you Daddy for bein... » read more
