This memorial website was created in the memory of
Margarita Dominguez (née Salas), born
in Pomabamba
on the 20th June 1872
and passed away on the 18th February 1913, 40 years of age.
Margarita was married to John Wilcox in 1889, at age 17 (John Wilcox was 23 at the time). She likely died in child birth since the cause of death was eclampsia a form of toxemia, (i.e., blood poisoning resulting from the presence of toxins, as bacterial toxins, in the blood,) due to pregnancy.
Also, Margarita's father was Martin Domiguez. He was born in Pomabamba (Anchash) and is buried at the Baquijano cemetery in Callao, Peru.
She is remembered by her family as a quiet, sweet girl, dedicated to her children.
