Mary L. Newcomb passed away on the 12th of January 2015 supported by her loving family. Born and raised in Breham, TX, she resided in Springfield with her devoted husband of 53 years, Irving R Newcomb. Mary served in the Army as a Dental Laboratory Technician. She was a beloved homemaker who enjoyed teaching Sunday School at the Springfield Wesleyan Church. Mary was an avid sports fan and loved the Redsox and Patriots. She enjoyed the Patriot's victory this weekend surrounded by her family. Mary is survived by her children, Barry (Susan) Newcomb of Candler, NC, Tina (Mary) Newcomb-Gerken of Worthington, MA, Dawn Newcomb of Springfield, Julie (Jarrid) Brazie of Watervliet, NY, as well as twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be be Tuesday, January 20th from 10-12 at the Springfield Wesleyan Church, 98 White St, Springfield, MA 01108. The funeral service will begin at 12pm, followed by interment at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Agawam. Reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's honor may be made to the Springfield Wesleyan Church, 98 White St, Springfield, MA 01108.
