In Memory Of Michael (Mike) Nimitsil
Survived By: His parents, sister, family, and friends.

Michael Nimitsil was born Krish Nimitsilpa on the 26th of April 1970. In Chiang Mai, Thailand, to Ann Y. and Sanit Nimitsil.

Michael's journey began when he moved to the United States in January 1979. He was raised in Monterey Park, California.

Throughout his whole life he was fascinated with the world. In his later years he developed a love for the outdoors and mountain climbing. Michael moved to Argentina in 2007, to train for future mountain climbing adventures.

Determined to become the first Thai American to make it to the top of Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. Michael left on a solo expedition, made it to the top, lost his life after his third attempt on his way down. He was the first casualty of the season, of the Colossus of the Americas.

Michael was a Renaissance man. Kind-natured, lived, and loved every waking hour of life. He was not an ordinary person that did ordinary things. Michael was rather extraordinary. Anybody that has crossed paths with him would say the same.

We are very proud of him, and he is a family member that will be greatly missed.

I met Mike back in 1996-1997. He was always very kind to me and helped me through a few things. I haven't seen him since we lost touch in about 1999. I have missed him through the years and knowing he is in a better place makes it a little easier. My condolences to all who knew and loved him.
