Intro text

This memorial website was created in the memory of beloved wife, mother, and Mimi, Olean Kelly Rousseau. Olean passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Natchitoches, LA at the age of 61.  Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home at 1720 South Range Avenue in Olean's home-town of Denham Springs, LA beginning at 11:00 am on Monday, September 7th.  Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park at the Boulevard of Magnolias area.  She is survived by her lovingly devoted husband Marvin Joseph "Joe" Rousseau Jr., children, Shanna Rousseau and husband Kirk Barry, Rhett Rousseau and wife Chelsea, and Miranda Rousseau and fiance Derril Glen Blanchard, brothers Bert and Joe Kelly and her eight grandchildren: Kayleigh, Rhys, Jordis, Jace, Noah, Adleigh, Declan and Kyce.  She was preceeded in death by her parents J. H. and Wanzie Kelly and brother Gayle Kelly.  Olean was known and loved by many people, including the friends of her children, who commonly referred to her as Momma Olean and she will be missed by all who loved her.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, inn her memory, to the Never Say Never Foundation. The Never Say Never Foundation is a non profit organization that was formed to help disabled youth overcome adversity with a positive attitude.  Olean was able to meet one of the co-founders of the Never Say Never Foundation this past May and was very excited about the good things they are doing.  They focus on helping children become involved in athletics by providing them with the specialty prosthetics that are not covered by their insurance.  Last year at their biggest event, Pirate Camp, The Never Say Never Foundation was able to provide specialty running blades to several children who attended Pirate Camp.  It would be a great tribute to Olean if we are able to have a total of $2500 dollars donated in her memory, as this is the cost to send a family of four to Pirate Camp in Clearwater, FL  October 22-25.  At Pirate Camp, children and their families participate in all variety of aquatic activities, such as sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing while staying at one of Florida's most beautiful beaches, all at no cost to the family.  Even better would be to raise $5,000 which would provide one child with a new running blade.
