Intro text
This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved Steven Leach who was born in Bessemer, AL on 2nd of September, 1971 and passed away on 16th of July, 2014, 42 years of age. Steven served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. He was employed with the city of Bessemer for over twenty years and leaves behind a powerful legacy of always being dependable as an employee and also a friend. Heaven is rejoicing for Steven was a brother in Christ and was baptized at Hopewell Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL. He leaves behind many loving family members who were sad to see him go, but are grateful in the knowledge we will see him again. Steven always had time to help a family member and friends, no matter what the need, and was above all a very good listener who always had a solid bit of advice. Steve started his journey, surrounded by love from his family, and ended his journey on earth surrounded by an even greater love from his family and friends who were with him in his final moments. He will be missed by all who knew him. Steve always had a smile... one which could brighten the darkest day and always made everyone around him feel welcome. Our hearts are broken, as we say goodbye to someone that was truly a softspoken, gentle giant. He will forever be in our hearts, but we wait the day when we can join him in Christ. Thank you, Steve, for you were the best brother that anyone could ever truly have, you were the son any parent is proud of, the most amazing father any child could have and were the best friend that anyone was fortunate enough to have. We miss you more and more each day, and love you with all our hearts. Rest in peace, little bro....Jesus has got this..
